Name: Christopher Daniels
Age: 17
Hometown: Christopher spent the majority of his life in the suburbs of Chicago, ten minutes from the city by train. So close, yet so far. The place was almost like a jail for him. Unlike most who dislike the suburbs, he didn't mind that, instead he grew up in a religious setting. His father a pastor and his mother on the school council, he felt as though he could never escape them... and to be quite honest he hadn't minded that until ninth grade when he met his best friend Charlie, a charismatic gay boy who caught Chris off guard. He had been taught to avoid people like that; gay people equals sins and death, after all...right? It was then when he realized that all the adult figures in his life might have lied to him about everything he had accepted as the only choice. He doesn't miss home as much as he misses Charlie, but he was ready to leave away from his parents and discover life without his family constantly hovering over his shoulder.
Likes: Chris is constantly finding himself with a book in hand and a camera in the other. He enjoys singing, but not to public. It isn't shyness as much as it's laziness (and nothing to sing). He has an unhealthy obsession with music, always listening to a new band he's found on Myspace or through someone at his old school (although he's never been able to attend a concert, they're "the devils playground"). He's a bit of a computer nerd, due to the fact his parents didn't understand how to work one...letting that be pretty much the only thing to corrupt him.
Dislikes: Chris only really finds himself disliking people on drugs. His childhood friend grew up and away from him because of them.
Problems: He is constantly struggling on keeping a balance of being his own person and not losing who he used to be. He doesn't want to be like his parents but he's pretty sure partying isn't his deal. He doesn't know who he is, and he wants to figure it out (and he'll do just about anything to do that).
Uniqueness: You know that kid that sits alone in the lunch room? He switches from that to being the outgoing kid to approach new kids, he blames it on Charlie for rubbing off on him. Apparently switching from those two opposites is odd. Or that's what he's been told.
Personality: He comes off as shy at first, but he really isn't. He's just awkward around new people, and sometimes even around people he knows well. The first thing people seem to judge him on is the fact he stutters ever so slightly, something that's stuck with him throughout his whole life. Generally a mellow kid.
School Status: Good at the books, he doesn't really have to try.
